Known for luxury cashmere knitwear, Pringle of Scotland hails from Scotland which was to become the birthplace of the UK knitwear industry. It soon became known as one of the first luxury knitwear manufacturers in the world. Conveniently located in Canal Walk, Pringle of Scotland was founded in 1815 by Robert Pringle and was originally known for its hosiery and underwear. It started knitting cashmere in the 1870s and became one of the first brands to introduce knitwear as outerwear in the early 1900s.
