South Africa’s biggest gaming tournament is back. The 2025 MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience brings in-centre activations, and serious prize money to malls across the country and also makes space for younger players.
Thursday, 18 Septembe 2025, features tournaments designed for schools and under-18 gamers, offering dedicated Minecraft build challenges, EAFC 25™ scholars only tournament and aRocket League Invitational face-off – all with real prizes.
E-FOOTBALL SCHOLARS TOURNAMENT
Think you have what it takes to win? Play in our 1v1 single elimination scholars-only tournament and stand a chance of winning. The top 2 players progress to the Canal Walk final taking place on Saturday 20 September at 17:00.

MINECRAFT
If you love building and mining, make sure you play in our Minecraft Competition. Four building competitions will take place on Thursday. Players have 20 minutes to impress the judges.
