Join Cape Town’s biggest stand-up comedy talent search!

Support the finalists as they perform for a spot at at the Jive Cape Town Funny Festival taking place in July at the Baxter Theatre.

Over the years, the Funny Festival has discovered, developed and showcased new talent and now has created The Jive Funny Championship for the sole purpose of discovering young up-and-coming comedians from Cape Town and give them a chance to show off their funny alongside the star-studded cast. Just like last year, the project (an initiative of the City of Cape Town and sponsored by Jive and Nandos) will be held at Canal Walk.

The JIVE Funny Championship Heats kick off at Canal Walk Auditorium on the 16 April till 7 May 2025. Book your tickets in the link below: 

In celebration of the 26th Jive Cape Town Funny Festival, this year's Championships will be a stylish affair.  Enjoy delicious snacks and drinks while you are entertainment by the finalists,
The final will take place in the Canal Walk Centre Court, main event area.

Time:  19h00 for 20h00
Venue:  Canal Walk Centre Court
Cost:  R200 Includes show, snacks and drinks.  All proceeds will go to Operation Smile.
